There are basically three types of barbecue sauces. This is a base of tomatoes, vinegar and mustard base base. Once you know that the foundations of every possible, then add or subtract the ingredients of the recipe for your personal taste.
A tomato-based barbecue sauce should have the following ingredients.
One of tomato sauce
Two tablespoons cider vinegar
Two tablespoons of sugar cane or molasses
One tablespoon of garlic powder
A spoonOnion powder
Tablespoon mustard
Teaspoon of salt
A teaspoon of pepper
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and cook for twenty minutes.
Vinegar barbecue sauce should have the following ingredients:
A cup of apple cider vinegar
A cup of water
Two tablespoons of sugar cane
A teaspoon of chilli
2 tsp salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
Mix all ingredients togetherin a pot and simmer for 10 minutes.
Mustard barbecue sauces contain the following:
Half cup of mustard (yellow or brown, can be spicy mustard)
A half cup of brown sugar
A quarter cup of vinegar
Teaspoon of salt
A teaspoon of pepper
Mix all ingredients in a saucepan and cook for thirty minutes.
Once you master these basic sauces, you can add ingredients to your taste. Youperhaps, cayenne pepper to add spice to the sauce and a little 'liquid smoke or use. Other ingredients you might try, honey, cumin, maple syrup, various types of vinegar and citrus fruit.
Barbecue sauce is a matter of taste, but all employees are made to the above three bases.
